About
The Ideal Venue For All Events
The Scene
Nestled among Dominica’s palm, mango, coconut, breadfruit, and banana trees Classiqué International is the ideal venue for both formal and non-formal events. Its sweeping, multi-leveled balconies provide the perfect setting for weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, proms, concerts, and much more. Classiqué has been designed with an attention to detail and its beautiful grounds, covered with flowers, looks out over the crashing waves of the Atlantic coast—only five minutes away.
The Place
Classiqué International is located in the village of Marigot just over ten minutes from Melville Hall Airport along the winding costal roads. It is approximately forty minutes from Roseau (Dominica’s capital) and twenty-five minutes from Portsmouth—home of Ross University. Classiqué International is centralized and easily accessible.
It is centrally located and in close proximity to the Marigot Credit Union. A short walk past the Credit Union and the road descends on the radiant colors and vibrant atmosphere of Classiqué International. Classiqué has become the social center and the place where many people from different walks of life gather to celebrate. This is especially noticeable during the Carnival, Creole festival (music and cultural performances), and Dominica’s Independence celebration. Dominicans living abroad as wells as visitors, fluck to the Island to enjoy the music, cultural performances, exhibitions and other events all over the Island.
The Accommodations
Classiqué International operates in a two story high building. The white rails that hem the sweeping balconies contrast its beautiful grey walls. For overnight stays or short-term lease, Classiqué International has a comfortable suite available. For parties there is lots of balcony space, room for a bar, and open patios to accommodate your guests. For music, the patio stage is large enough to accommodate a live band.

What’s the capacity? I felt kinda bad that I have been to DA almost every year for the past 20 years and I haven’t been to your place. I’ll probably visit in October/November. I will make it my duty to visit. Great looking place.

Classique’ International was opened in 2006 and is capable of hosting over two hundred guests. As the pictures show, we have lots of open balcony, deck and patio space which is what most people on the Island enjoy. We are planning several events for the October/November festivities, including performances by a well known cultural group from the Carib Reserve as well as performances by Marigot cultural groups. That would certainly be a great time to visit Dominica because last year we had a wonderful time. I will post a few more photos to give you an insight as to what you have already missed and can no longer afford to miss. The World Creole Festival, which leads into the Independence celebration, is one of the most festive times to be on the Island. Although a lot of visitors end up in Roseau, some do remain in Marigot which means there is always the need for some form of entertainment. We look forward to seeing you there so spread the word and please feel free to bring along a few more friends.

I would love to have you visit. We recently hosted five Bajans who were visiting Dominica for the first time and they had a wonderful time touring the Island as well as enjoying our parties. They were on the island for a volley ball tournament, which unfortunately they lost, yet their visit was so lovely that they promised to return soon.

Hi Matty,
You are quite right, I am enjoying my stay in d/a. The weather is very hot and humid but the rain falls in between which helps to keep the temperature down. I am eating lots of mangoes and all the other fruits and vegetables which are in season.
I have had parties each weekend and is getting ready for one on Friday. I am trying to do something special this weekend so hopeful the party fans will be receptive of the ideas. We want people to show their talent by doing impromtu performances which will be judged by the crowd.
I sure hope that we will meet up in d/a sometime soon. Like you, I enjoy being in d/a and look forward to spending as much time down here as possible. There are the usual frustrations with people doing things at their own pace and to their own likings, but we can’t get too stressed out over every little thing so I just have to be patient and learn to accept the things which I cannot change.
Best regards to you, Bella and the others at home.
