Yes Claudia, you’re absolutely right. I still remember us playing long into the evenings, along with our other neighbors….. those were the best days ever! I am very happy to be able to use Classique as a venue where we can all get together and just have fun. It’s great being in DA. There are lots of people visiting throughout the summer so there’s always someone around. I am striving to make Classique a more comfortable and interesting place to accommodate all my many friends, especially during the Creole Fest, which is just around the corner. I Look forward to seeing you soon.

Lena, it is amazing how fast time has passed, my neighbour and friend for a number of years growing up. It is a pleasure to see the transformation that you have done with this place, what a great job. I am hoping to visit sometime soon. Like you and a lot of us our HEART will always be in Dominica, the place of Peace and Tranquility!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

A lovely tribute to a well loved young man whose death has left the entire community in a state of shock and sadness. The family needs our support, especially Kim and her baby daughter.

Please spread the word about the “White Party for Peace” on Saturday, July 24th from 12:00 noon to 12:00 p.m. at Classique International.

Deepest condolences to FNP Gibbons, Mr. Gibbons, Che, Michael, Samantha and Dominique, Kim Gibbons, Lil KK and Empress.My prayers are with you in this time of your loss. As Ashton’s first teacher opon his coming to Dominica with his family from Guyana, We share a special bond. I found him an extremely pleasant young man whom I could speak to at anytime. We get side tracked at times, but Ashton was back on track and I know that he will be dearly missed by those with whom he connected in Marigot and the wider Dominican community. Although I wont be there to attend this activity, I call on the community to support the Party for Peace organised by Classique International. We need this moment of healing in honor of Ashton.

We’ll all miss Ashton who, along with his lovely family, had been a member of our community for so many years. I am hoping that people will come out on Saturday, July 24th, from 12:00 noon to 12:00 p.m. and support the fund raiser in an effort to help Ashton’s baby daughter.

Invite friends and family members to join us on Saturday, July 24th from 12:00 noon to 12:00 p.m. during our all “White Party for Peace.” People will have an opportunity to express themselves and talk about Ashton “Gold Teeth” letting the world know the void that his loss has left in our community. We’ll do some lively contemporary gospel music as well as appropriate reggae, calypso, etc. If there are individuals or groups who would like to perform, they’ll be welcome to do so “Pro Bono.” I really want people to come out and enjoy themselves peacefully while remembering Ashton “Gold Teeth.” We need to support his family who have been part of our community for many years.

Volunteers and Ideas for the event are welcome.

ashton was a cool dude that the entire village loved.i remember he comming to dominica as a lil boy.we got to know him ,learn to appreciate him and that led to us loving him ,he became one of us along with his family.He will be missed.

I share the same sentiments.He touchd our lives in one way or the other his soft spoken voice and contagious smile we will all miss. may he rest in peace.I can still see him sitting in my drawing room and my daughterlocking his hair for him.

You are right… that’s why I am so excited about my business. I hope to become a board member while further promoting Classique. In the meantime, I am taking short courses in cake decorating, baking, cooking, sewing etc. I am also thinking about a course in hospitality which would be beneficial to my business. I know that things can work in DA and I am really proud to be a part of what ever promotes our lovely nature island.

David, I mean it….. and I know others would agree with me 100% that your art work is superior and your “legacy” must become an integral part of Dominica’s history.

I am in full agreement with you that Tourism is the way for Dominica. There is much talent and untapped resources in and from Dominica that can be used to create attractions, unique to Dominica, that will grab the attention of the world (You know what I am talking about). There is much that I have discovered in Dominica of which I was not aware before I left in 1976.
